Definitions for source format, target format and mapping are created for both incoming and outgoing EDI transactions. |

The EDIFOR (Electronic Data Interchange
Forwarding) subset for transport was developed by the working group
EDIFOR for which the BSL (German Association for Transport and Logistics)
acted as chair. As a sales partner to the BSL GEFEG maintains the EDIFOR
subset with GEFEG.FX
which is also distributed by GEFEG. |

GS1 Germany, the German GS1 organisation, and GEFEG maintain and distribute the German-English version of EANCOM®, the world-wide most widely spread EDIFACT subset.

Since 1994, DIN Software AG has been shipping
the German translation of the UN/EDIFACT standard database with
GEFEG.FX. The UN/EDIFACT standard
database is maintained by DIN's Office Standards Committee. GEFEG has also
initiated an XML/EDI recommendation which resulted in the DIN E16557-5,
now also made public as ISO Draft Standard 20625. Furthermore GEFEG supports
the DIN with their business expertise in working groups. Currently one of
GEFEG's Senior Consultants acts as chair of the working group "XML for
Electronic Business". |

GEFEG has been a member of DISA since 1998 and takes part in the ASC X.12
development as a voting member.

EDIFICE is the European B2B forum for the
electronics industry. GEFEG has been a member of EDIFICE since 1999. The
EDIFICE EDIFACT subset is maintained with
GEFEG.FX and published on the
EDIFICE web site using the
GEFEG.FX Publisher module. In
August 2001, the EIDX - the (American) Electronics Industry Data Exchange
Association - have adopted the EDIFICE EDIFACT guidelines within their
partnership with EDIFICE. This means that EIDX members also gain access
to EDIFICE guidelines. |

EDIBAU e.V. and GEFEG offer all interested
software suppliers two converter program modules to convert files from
the GAEB standard (German construction industry data interchange format)
to EDIFACT and vice versa. |

IONA and GEFEG have agreed on a world-wide
cooperation. Their common goal will be the development of web-based

Demo
using BizTalk Server 2000. The demo application shows the purchasing process
of a large enterprise with its SME supplier. The output of the order is
generated as an XML file. Though only available in German at the moment
the advantages of connecting proven EDI solutions with XML opportunities is
showing. GEFEG.FX now includes a new
interface
to the Microsoft® BizTalk™ Server with which the
source and target format descriptions and the underlying mapping required
by the Microsoft® BizTalk™ Server 2000 are generated.

MLC supplies
GEFEG.FX
to its customers as a supplementary software tool. The MLC interface
makes it possible to pass GEFEG.FX

The Open Applications Group , Inc. (OAGi) is a
not-for-profit consortium focusing on best practices and process based XML
content for e-Business and Application Integration. The mission of the Open
Applications Group is to define and encourage the adoption of a unifying standard
for e-Business and Application Software interoperability that reduces customer
cost and time to deploy solutions. The Open Applications Group supports
ebXML and is taking several steps forward to adopt and converge it with
their own body of work. In cooperation with OAGi GEFEG has developed the
specialized standards browser product for the OAGi Specification, the
OAGIS 8.0 Browser.

and Perwill's eBizManager, Perwill's customers gain access to numerous

a cooperation agreement about the marketing and sales of

SAP AG has been using
GEFEG.FX since 1994 as the supplier of the
UN/EDIFACT standard database of the DIN for the R/2 SAP EDI product.
Thanks to the generous cooperation of SAP, SAP
IDocs can be imported into GEFEG.FX. This applies to both
RSEIDOC3 reports and Meta-IDocs. The SAP IDocs are then
available to the GEFEG.FX user as
a standard reference, for documenting IDoc interfaces and
for testing IDoc messages. |

Seeburger AG is one of the leading suppliers of EDI
and EAI solutions. GEFEG and Seeburger signed a cooperation agreement in January,
2003, and GEFEG.FX is now available
through our new partner.
Moreover, a jointly developed interface now connects the GEFEG.FX with the Seeburger
Business Integration Converter. This interface makes it possible to transfer EDI
application guidelines - descriptions of B2B standards documented using GEFEG.FX -
to the Seeburger BIC as format descriptions, with no further processing or
programming effort required.
GEFEG also offers the Seeburger TLA, which is used to transfer EDIFACT message
types from GEFEG.FX to the WinELKE converter
interface.

The Siemens EDIFACT Standard (SES) is developed using GEFEG.FX. Siemens uses GEFEG.FX worldwide to describe specific application interfaces based on SES, to generate test data and to test EDI transaction files.

GEFEG.FX has been selected by
VDA as the tool for migration from traditional data communications
