GEFEG.FX CCTS Module Adapted to Developments in the Standard
GEFEG.FX may be used to develop Core Components according to the ISO Technical Specification 15000-5 Core Components Technical Specification or to employ predefined core components. Users need the GEFEG.FX CCTS product or the specific CCTS module for these tasks. Corrigenda to the CCTS standard by UN/CEFACT have been integrated. In addition the creation of CEFACT schemas has been brought up to date in GEFEG.FX 6.1.

Collaborative Working in a Repository
GEFEG.FX 6.1 supports the version control system SVN. This new feature allows you to manage and edit guidelines and other objects in a centralized repository. The repository technique affords that several persons can work on the same objects as well as the version control of data models, schemas, guidelines and mappings with GEFEG.FX. All editing steps can be traced for example, and older versions can be restored if necessary.

Enhanced Guideline Technique for Schema and Model
We always recommend using an XML schema guide or a model guide as the application specification of an XML schema and a data model. An XML schema guide can be thought of as a film, laid over the schema, on which you can write comments. Because the film is transparent, all comments, for example of an attribute, are also visible in the guide, and are hence part of the application specification. If there are elements based on such commented types, then the comments are applicable to the elements both in the underlying schema and in the schema guide, and are available in both contexts. Another film representing another guide can also be laid over the first one. This second guide would then describe, not the application of the original schema, but further restrictions in the application of the first guide.

Improved Publishing Project
Large publishing projects in GEFEG.FX include many objects such as EDI guides, schemas and data models. Beginning with GEFEG.FX 6.1, an optional separate documentation in RTF or CHM can also be generated for each object in one work step.

Trusted Technology
The trusted technology supports the collaboration between organizations that publish XML-based standards and the users of such standards. The publisher of a standard usually provides a specification to a broad group of users. At the same time, the publisher hopes that the specifications are not modified in application. For this purpose the publisher uses a GEFEG.FX variant to develop and edit the standard, and then protect it against unauthorized changes. The user however uses another GEFEG.FX variant, the Trusted XML Editor. This editor can be used to load the standard and describe its application, including restrictions or permissible extensions, in a guide. The user is the owner of the guide and has all rights and capabilities to edit it. However, the user cannot change the standard which is preserved in exactly the version which has been published by the standard organization.
Beside Standard-developing Organizations (SDO), such as DIN in Germany, ANSI in the US, or GS1, WCO or SWIFT at the global level, companies that develop formats for enterprise-wide data interchange can also take advantage of Trusted Technology.
