B2B standards on demand via GEFEG.FX File Menu. This will save you

| Migration from GEFEG.FX 6.0 to GEFEG.FX 6.1 |
| To make the transition from GEFEG.FX 6.0 to GEFEG.FX 6.1 as simple as possible, and to make the new features available, we recommend the following procedure: |
| |
| 1. |
Install GEFEG.FX 6.1 in a separate directory from your existing GEFEG.FX 6.0 installation. Do not replace GEFEG.FX 6.0 when installing GEFEG.FX 6.1. We recommend that you use the default directory names. |
| 2. |
Install all components with the new version, even if you may have already installed EDIFACT standards in GEFEG.FX 6.0. |
| 3. |
Copy your own data - that is, any data objects you have created or modified - to GEFEG.FX 6.1. To do so, start the program. In the Manager, click with the right mouse button on the root entry, Manager, and select Register in the context menu. Specify the directory in which the Manager should search for your data objects. The Manager then scans this drive and displays a list of the objects found that can be registered. |
| 4. |
When you have finished setting up the new GEFEG.FX 6.1, uninstall GEFEG.FX 6.0. by selecting the Uninstall shortcut in the GEFEG.FX 6.0 program group. Note that Uninstall removes only the program files, the desktop shortcut, the program group in the Start menu, and the Registry keys. Data files are not affected. When you are sure that none of your data is left in the GEFEG.FX 6.0 data folder, you can delete the folder manually. |
