The TAXUD EU Customs Data Model (EUCDM) is a new customs data model based on the WCO Data Model. It is conformant to the framework of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Data Model which guarantees wider international interoperability and supports data harmonization efforts and efficiency gains in global cross border data exchange. In addition, the TAXUD EUCDM has been formed on the basis of the UCC Implementing Acts (IA) and Delegated Acts (DA), which establish the required legal basis for data requirements.
The TAXUD EUCDM supports the Union Customs Code and its endeavours for the modernisation of customs. It will be a major contribution to the harmonised implementation of the new regulations on the rules and procedures for customs across the EU. The TAXUD EUCDM has been developed by the European Commission Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD).
With the provision of the TAXUD EU Customs Data Model a single source is available for the publication of the required data and data exchanges. You will find here the publication of the TAXUD EU Customs Data Model in two different formats.
